Saturday, August 20thWilloughby Harbor Marina – hosted the 2nd Annual Duct Tape Regatta which benefits the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters, a full-service pediatric hospital for children up to 21 years old. For just a $50 contribution to CHKD, friends and families built their own boat – with one roll of duct tape, a pound of fasteners, two 2x4’s and a sheet of plywood. A total of 53 boats were built and raced. WHM helped raise close to $25,000 this year adding to the $16,000 raised in 2004. The Regatta was in memory of Tim Edwards, a Norfolk native.
